The current economic model in our world is built on the fallacy of infinite growth. It cannot work because our resources are finite. Further, the vast majority of people in our world will never have the opportunity to choose between "moral" or "high paying" jobs.
As much as it is nice to see a few bucks flow downward, most wealth is flowing up, up and away.
The very least that capitalism must do to survive its own destructive force is regulate itself based on the limits of the natural world and ensure that the system of governance, not private moral choice, requires that no one is starving or homeless.
